Détails du produit

The BP535 narrow bandpass lens filter is designed to pass light with a peak wavelength of 535 nm and a useful range between 505–565 nm, while blocking all other wavelengths.

Using the standard filter thread, it attaches directly to a machine vision lens.

With several thread sizes available, you can match the filter to your lens to ensure stable mounting and dependable performance in any machine vision setup

BP535 Narrow Bandpass Filter Specifications

Narrow bandpass filters function by transmitting only a defined portion of the light spectrum while blocking all other wavelengths.

For the BP535 filter, light at the 535 nm peak wavelength is transmitted at levels above 90%, and within the 505–565 nm useful range, the transmission stays above 80%.

Explore the BP535 Narrow Bandpass Filter and Its Applications

The BP535 bandpass filter is designed to transmit light centered at 535 nm while blocking all wavelengths outside its defined passband. This level of wavelength selectivity enhances image contrast, color fidelity, and measurement stability across many optical systems.

At a selected wavelength such as 535 nm, the BP535 functions as a color filter for monochrome cameras, passing only the intended green wavelength and suppressing nearby and complementary spectral components. Color lens filters follow a subtractive principle—a green filter, for instance, preserves green tones while dimming opposing colors.

In real-world setups, pairing a white-light or broad-spectrum source with the BP535 isolates a narrow spectral band centered around 535 nm. This leads to higher contrast, improved separation of object features, fewer unwanted reflections from ambient lighting, and greater overall image stability. As a result, the BP535 is highly effective in machine vision inspection, where subtle differences in material, color, or surface characteristics must be identified reliably under changing illumination conditions.

Typical Applications for the 535 nm bandpass lens filter

• Green LED or laser lighting systems

• Surface or defect inspection

• Fluorescence or color-based imaging

• Color inspection and contrast enhancement in green spectral range

BP535 Filter Integration with Machine Vision Systems

The BP535 filter can be attached to the front of most machine vision lenses, as these lenses typically include a built-in filter thread for direct mounting.

If you are using a C-mount lens on a GigE camera or USB3 camera, the filter can also be placed inside the C-mount connection instead of on the front of the lens.

This option is particularly useful when the lens lacks a front filter thread.

In this configuration, the filter sits securely between the camera and the lens, remaining fixed in the optical path to maintain stable alignment and consistent image quality.

These mounting options make the BP535 filter adaptable to a wide range of setups and easy to incorporate without modifying your existing camera or lens.
