Détails du produit

The Bandpass Lens Filter 960 nm is engineered for high-performance near-infrared (NIR) imaging, transmitting light at the 960 nm peak wavelength while suppressing unwanted wavelengths outside the 930–990 nm useful range.

By isolating this NIR band, the BP960 enhances contrast, minimizes interference from visible and stray IR light, and delivers stable, repeatable performance in demanding inspection, sensing, and machine-vision environments.

The filter attaches directly to standard machine vision lenses using the built-in front filter thread. With multiple thread-size options available, the BP960 integrates seamlessly into a wide variety of industrial optical systems.

Performance of Bandpass Lens Filter 960 nm

Bandpass filters allow only a defined portion of the spectrum to pass.
For the BP960, this includes:

  • greater than 90% transmission at 960 nm

  • above 80% transmission across the 930–990 nm range

This corresponds to a 60 nm FWHM (±5 nm), providing a balanced bandwidth suitable for systems using LEDs or illumination near the 940–1000 nm region.

Available Thread Sizes for Bandpass Lens Filter 960 nm

Because lenses come in different sizes, the BP960 filter is available in several standard thread options, making it suitable for both compact and larger lenses.

  • • C-mount filter
  • • 0.5 thread (pitch): M22.5×0.5, M25.5×0.5, M27×0.5, M30.5×0.5, M34×0.5, M35.5×0.5, M37×0.5, M37.5×0.5, M40.5×0.5
  • • 0.75 thread (pitch): M37×0.75, M43×0.75, M46×0.75, M49×0.75, M52×0.75, M55×0.75, M58×0.75, M60×0.75, M62×0.75, M67×0.75, M72×0.75

Mounting the BP960 via C-mount When No Front Filter Thread Is Available

If the lens you are using does not have a front filter thread, the BP960 can also be installed inside the C-mount connection rather than mounted on the lens front. In this configuration, the filter sits securely between the camera and the lens, remaining fixed in the optical path to ensure stable alignment and consistent image quality. This internal mounting option makes the BP960 compatible with lenses that cannot accept front-mounted filters and allows easy integration into compact or specialized setups.

If you plan to install the filter inside the C-mount interface, simply fill out the form below to get instant access to the mounting guide and lens compatibility information.

Bandpass Lens Filter 960 nm Applications

By isolating the 960 nm wavelength range, the BP960 helps deliver clearer, more consistent results in imaging environments where visible or mixed light may reduce contrast. Typical benefits include:

- Better visibility of features emphasized in the 960 nm range

- Reduced influence from ambient lighting

- Improved repeatability in controlled inspection systems

- Cleaner separation of details in NIR-based imaging setups

Common uses include industrial inspection, illumination-based sensing, machine-vision alignment, and NIR-optimized measurement tasks.

Mounting Bandpass Lens Filter 960 nm into Machine Vision Systems

Most machine vision lenses include a front-mounted filter thread, allowing the BP960 filter to be attached directly.

If you are using a C-mount lens on a GigE camera or USB3 camera, the filter can also be placed inside the C-mount connection instead of on the front of the lens.

Installed between the camera and the lens, the filter remains fixed within the optical path, ensuring stable alignment and consistent image performance.

These versatile mounting options make the BP960 easy to integrate into nearly any machine vision setup.
