Multi Wave Spot Lights for Wavelength Testing in Machine Vision Applications

The Multi Wave Spot Light is a specialized LED spotlight developed specifically for testing purposes in machine vision and industrial imaging applications. It enables users to evaluate and select the optimal wavelength for their inspection tasks - such as detecting surface defects on metal components, verifying printed text, analyzing PCB elements, or positioning and identifying objects in large fields of view.

This test light features multiple integrated wavelengths in a single unit, eliminating the need for multiple lights during the evaluation phase. It is ideal for laboratory setups or R&D environments where fast, flexible wavelength comparison is critical.

Note: This product is intended for testing and evaluation only. For production-ready lighting, we offer single-wavelength LED spotlights tailored to your needs.

When to Use the Multi Wave Spot Light in Your Machine Vision Application

The Multi Wave Spot Light is designed specifically for testing and evaluating the optimal wavelength for your machine vision tasks. It is particularly useful in R&D or lab environments where selecting the right illumination wavelength is crucial before moving to a production setup.

Use the Multi Wave Spot Light when:
• You need to compare the effect of multiple wavelengths in a controlled setup
• You're working with a variety of materials or surfaces and want to identify the most effective illumination approach
• You’re in the early stages of vision system design or feasibility testing
• You require flexible lighting in dynamic lab or experimental environments

How to Use the Multi Wave Spot Light for Illumination Testing

The Multi wavelength Spot Light is designed to streamline the evaluation of different wavelengths during the development and testing of machine vision systems.

It enables users to quickly assess how various wavelengths interact with different materials, surfaces, or features - without the need to swap out individual light sources.

Instead of using interchangeable lenses, the Multi wavelength Spot integrates multiple wavelength emitters in distinct segments. Users can selectively activate individual wavelengths or combinations to observe how each affects image contrast, surface detail, or defect visibility. This flexibility allows for faster iteration and more informed decisions during the lighting design phase.

Whether you're testing reflective, matte, textured, or mixed materials, the Multi Wave Spot Light offers a practical solution for optimizing illumination before moving to production lighting.

How to Power the Multi Wavelength Spot Light

The Multi Wavelength Spot Light comes with a dedicated power adapter that allows direct connection to a standard power socket, making setup quick and straightforward for testing purposes.
Our validated power supplies ensure stable and reliable output, which is critical for repeatable testing results.

Production and Quality Control of Multi Wave Spot Lights

Our Multi Wave Spot Lights are manufactured under stringent quality control processes to guarantee reliability and consistent performance during testing and evaluation.

Upon receiving new LED batches, our quality team conducts thorough inspections to verify that each wavelength emitter falls within precise spectral tolerances. Approved LEDs are carefully stored under controlled conditions until they enter production.

The assembly process is highly automated: LEDs are mounted on specialized PCBs designed for the Multiwave Spot Light, followed by precise soldering and inspection. The PCB assemblies are then integrated into the mechanical housing.

Each assembled unit undergoes comprehensive testing to confirm that it meets all functional and optical specifications, ensuring consistent light output and wavelength accuracy across production batches.

During the R&D phase, prototypes are continuously powered for one week with close temperature monitoring to validate thermal stability and durability. For every production run, each Multi Wave Spot Light is powered continuously for 12 hours to ensure uniform quality and performance over time.
