How the LP470 Longpass Filters Work

A longpass filter blocks light below a defined cutoff wavelength and allows light above that point to pass. For the LP470 filter, wavelengths above 470 nm pass with high transmission, while light below 456 nm is strongly blocked.

For systems using a C-mount lens on a USB3 camera or GigE camera, the filter can also be fitted within the C-mount interface. 

This option is especially helpful when the lens has no front filter thread.

Placing the filter between the lens and camera keeps it securely aligned with the optical path and maintains consistent imaging performance without requiring hardware modifications.
