Longpass Lens Filter 530 nm, Select your size, passes all light above 516 nm
Détails du produit
The Longpass Lens Filter 530 nm is designed to transmit longer wavelengths while blocking shorter ones, providing a practical spectral window from approximately 516 to 1100 nm. This cutoff behavior suppresses unwanted UV, blue, and green light, improving contrast and making fine features easier to detect in demanding imaging environments.
- The filter mounts directly onto machine-vision lenses using industry-standard threaded housings, ensuring reliable and accurate placement in the optical path.
- A wide range of thread sizes is available to support both compact and large-format lens assemblies.
How Longpass Lens Filter 530 nm Works
A longpass filter blocks light below a defined cutoff wavelength and allows light above that point to pass. For the LP530 filter, wavelengths above 530 nm pass with high transmission, while light below 516 nm is strongly blocked.
Because this passband covers the entire yellow/red region and extends deeply into the NIR, the LP530 is ideal for systems that use white illumination, mixed-spectrum lighting, or operate in environments where shorter wavelengths cause interference.

Where to Use a 530 nm Longpass Filter
The LP530 longpass filter is ideal for imaging environments where shorter wavelengths—especially blue, cyan, and lower green light—introduce glare, scatter, or inconsistent exposure.
By passing only wavelengths above the 530 nm cutoff, the filter enhances contrast and stabilizes brightness in machine-vision systems that operate under white LEDs, fluorescent lighting, or mixed visible/NIR illumination. It is particularly effective for applications involving reflective or textured surfaces, where low-wavelength light can obscure fine details.
The LP530 is commonly used in industrial inspection, print and material analysis, laboratory imaging, and any setup requiring reliable suppression of shorter visible wavelengths to improve feature visibility and measurement accuracy.
By suppressing UV, blue, cyan, and shorter green wavelengths, the filter enhances contrast and reduces glare when used with:
· White LED illumination
· Fluorescent or broadband sources
· Blue-suppression lighting
· Mixed visible/NIR lighting setups
This makes the LP530 well suited for applications requiring controlled spectral separation in machine vision, industrial inspection, and laboratory imaging.
Advantages of LP530:
· High transmission above 530 nm with minimal signal loss
· Steep cutoff and strong blocking below 520 nm
· Improved contrast and clearer feature definition
· Stable performance under variable or mixed lighting conditions
· Supports precise and repeatable imaging workflows
Longpass Lens Filter 530 nm Lens & Camera Compatibility
Most machine vision lenses include a front filter thread, allowing the LP530 to be mounted directly in front of the optics.
For systems using a C-mount lens on a USB3 camera or GigE camera, the filter can also be fitted within the C-mount interface.
This option is especially helpful when the lens has no front filter thread.
Placing the filter between the lens and camera keeps it securely aligned with the optical path and maintains consistent imaging performance without requiring hardware modifications.
The LP530 filter offers versatility for various optical setups and can be integrated easily without modifying the existing camera or lens assembly
