Détails du produit

The Longpass Lens Filter 700 nm is designed to transmit wavelengths above 700 nm, with a functional transmission range beginning at 686–1100 nm. Light below 686 nm is strongly blocked, making this filter ideal for isolating deep-red and near-infrared (NIR) signals in machine vision and industrial imaging systems. The filter attaches directly to most machine vision lens using a standard threaded mount, improving contrast, reducing illumination noise, and enhancing visibility of long-wavelength features. Multiple thread sizes are available to ensure compatibility with compact, mid-range, and large-format optics.

How the LP700 Achieves Spectral Separation

Longpass filters suppress unwanted short wavelengths while allowing longer wavelengths to pass with high transmission.

  • For the LP700, the cutoff region ends at 686 nm, after which transmission rapidly increases and becomes highly efficient across the red/NIR spectrum.
  • By eliminating blue, green, and most red components below the cutoff, the filter enables stable acquisition of long-wavelength information—especially important for NIR illumination, contrast enhancement, and imaging through scattering materials.

Where to use LP700 Longpass Filter

The LP700 efficiently transmits light above its 700 nm cutoff, offering a stable passband through 1100 nm. By removing blue, green, and most mid-visible wavelengths, the filter improves contrast and reduces chromatic noise when used with:

  • Infrared LED lighting

  • Applications requiring selective NIR imaging

The LP695 is a strong choice for machine vision, inspection systems, laboratory setups, and other imaging applications that need controlled spectral filtering.

Typical Applications

• NIR imaging and inspection
• Imaging under IR LEDs (700–950 nm)
• Material and surface inspection
• Detection and measurement where visible light interferes

Key Benefits

• High transmission above 700 nm
• Strong blocking below 686 nm
• Cleaner NIR images with improved contrast
• Stable performance under challenging lighting conditions
• Supports accurate, repeatable measurement and inspection tasks

Longpass Lens Filter 700 nm System Compatibility

Most machine vision lenses include a front filter thread, allowing the LP700 to be mounted directly in front of the optics.

For systems using a C-mount lens on a USB3 camera or GigE camera, the filter can also be fitted within the C-mount interface.

This option is especially helpful when the lens has no front filter thread.

Positioning the filter between the lens and camera ensures proper optical alignment and maintains consistent imaging performance without requiring mechanical changes to the system.

The LP700 is versatile and integrates easily with a wide range of optical configurations.
