How the LP715 Works

Longpass filters suppress unwanted short wavelengths while allowing longer wavelengths to pass with high transmission.

• For the LP715, the cutoff region ends at 701 nm, after which transmission rapidly increases and becomes highly efficient across the red/NIR spectrum.
• By eliminating blue, green, and most red components below the cutoff, the filter enables stable acquisition of long-wavelength information—especially important for NIR illumination, contrast enhancement, and imaging through scattering materials.
