Détails du produit

The Longpass Lens Filter 830 nm is designed to transmit wavelengths above 816 nm, with a functional transmission range beginning at 816–1100 nm. Light below 816 nm is strongly blocked, making this filter ideal for isolating deep-red and near-infrared (NIR) signals in machine vision and industrial imaging systems. The filter attaches directly to most machine vision lens using a standard threaded mount, improving contrast, reducing illumination noise, and enhancing visibility of long-wavelength features. Multiple thread sizes are available to ensure compatibility with compact, mid-range, and large-format optics.

Longpass Lens Filter 830 nm Specifications

A longpass filter blocks light below its cutoff point and passes longer wavelengths at high efficiency. For the LP830, wavelengths above 830 nm transmit strongly, while light below 816 nm is heavily suppressed.  Because the filter passes near-infrared wavelengths while blocking the visible spectrum, the LP830 is ideal for imaging systems that rely on NIR illumination, operate under mixed lighting, or require complete separation between visible and infrared light.

Where to use Longpass Lens Filter 830 nm

With a transmission band beginning above 830 nm and extending to 1100 nm, the LP830 supports high-performance NIR imaging.
By eliminating visible-band interference, it enhances clarity, improves measurement accuracy, and maintains stable signal levels when using:

  • NIR LEDs

  • Laser-based illumination

  • Broad-spectrum lamps with unwanted visible components

The LP830 is well suited for machine vision, inspection, automation, research, and applications requiring precise NIR-only imaging.

Typical Applications

• Near-infrared imaging
• Outdoor or uncontrolled lighting environments
• IR-assisted inspection and measurement
• Print, material, or label verification under NIR illumination

Key Benefits

• Passes wavelengths above 830 nm with high transmission
• Strong rejection of visible-band light
• Improved contrast and detail for NIR cameras
• Reliable performance under mixed or changing lighting
• Enables consistent and repeatable inspection workflows

LP830 Compatibility with Cameras and Lenses

Most machine vision lenses include a front filter thread, allowing the LP830 to be mounted directly in front of the optics.

For systems using a C-mount lens on a USB3 camera or GigE camera, the filter can also be fitted within the C-mount interface.

This option is especially helpful when the lens has no front filter thread.

Positioning the filter between the lens and camera ensures proper optical alignment and maintains consistent imaging performance without requiring mechanical changes to the system.

The LP830 is versatile and integrates easily with a wide range of optical configurations.
