CoaXPress Vision Camera IMX535 Sensor

The MARS-1222-178X2C is a 12-megapixel industrial camera with CoaXPress interface developed for high-end machine vision applications. It combines high image quality with fast data transmission, making it suitable for demanding use cases such as industrial inspection, scientific research, and medical imaging.

The camera uses a CoaXPress interface to transmit high-resolution images at high frame rates to ensure a reliable connection between the camera and the frame grabber. To fully utilize the Sony IMX535 sensor, the camera is equipped with a C-mount lens.

This CoaXPress camera is suitable for applications that meet the following requirements

Industrial Color Camera

A color camera uses a Bayer pattern to generate images in full color. Each pixel’s RGB value is calculated using its own value along with those of neighboring pixels, which can result in slightly less sharp images compared to a monochrome camera. Because of the RGB filter, each pixel captures up to 66% fewer photons under white light, making color cameras less light-sensitive than monochrome models. To compensate for lower light sensitivity, you can:

• Increase illumination
• Increase gain
• Extend shutter speed/ exposure time
• Choose a more sensitive sensor
• Uses a more sensitive lens

Compared to security cameras and webcams, industrial color cameras have larger, more light-sensitive pixels providing superior image quality for industrial applications. 

MTBF, Warranty & Product Life Cycle

Each year, Daheng Imaging manufactures over 400,000 industrial cameras in accordance with strict quality standards. The cameras achieve a mean time between failures (MTBF) of more than 400,000 hours, equivalent to approximately 45 years of continuous operations. All industrial cameras are certified by TÜV Rheinland and are covered by a five-year warranty.
