To guarantee the right working distance for your application, a range of focal lengths are available in this lens series, from 6mm till 75mm. Resolving power of the 6MP 1/1.8” Visible + NIR lens series

To create sharp images, we advise to combine the 6MP 1/1.8” Visible + NIR lens series with USB3 cameras or GigE cameras that have up to 6MP resolution. The recommended cameras pixel size for this 6MP 8MM C-mount lens is 3.45μm. It has a resolving power of 200 line pairs per mm (lp/mm). The resolving power is determined by the number of pairs of black and white lines that can be distinguished. This is measured per millimeter of image space. A higher number of line pairs per mm indicates a higher spatial resolution, therefore the camera or lens system can resolve finer details in the image. The 6MP 8MM IR Corrected lens is sold in large numbers and will be produced for a long time. Nearly every lens model that has been introduced since our start still remains in stock. Additionally, if the VA-LCM-6MP-8MM-F1.8-018-IC lens approaches its End of Life (EOL), we are committed to keeping you informed. All of our customers will receive a final notification for an opportunity for a last-time buy. We also assure that after EOL that a new production run can always be initiated with a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) of 300 pieces of the 6MP 8MM C-mount lens. 

Quality control & warranty of our IR Compensated lenses

The lens production quality control process is built on several methodical steps. The process for IR compensated lenses such as the 6MP 8MM C-mount lens starts with a quality check of the incoming raw materials and the production line preparation. This preparation includes a check of workers PPE (Personal protective equipment) and the cleaning of equipment. During production, each step follows a strict process controlled by visual or tool aided inspections.
