GigE Vision Camera VE2S Color

The VE2S-501-23GC-P is an industrial board-level camera from the VE2S series with a GigE interface. Thanks to its detachable design, consisting of a camera body, FPC cable and GigE adapter board, the VE2S series is more compact, highly expandable, and easy to install and use. The modular construction provides extra flexibility during integration, especially in applications where installation space is limited.

The VE2S series supports standard RJ45 connection as well as direct FPC connection, making it suitable for both standard system integration and secondary development. Power can be supplied via PoE or via the Hirose I/O connector with 12–24VDC. The series is compatible with GigE Vision and GenICam standards and supports Windows, Linux, Android and Mac via GalaxySDK.

The FPC cable between the sensor and acquisition board requires custom ordering. VE2S-G cameras are supplied with a 0.5 m I/O cable.

Color industrial camera

An industrial color camera uses a Bayer pattern to generate a color image. This makes color cameras suitable for applications where color information is important, for example for product recognition, sorting or inspection tasks in which the actual color of an object must be evaluated. Compared to monochrome cameras, color cameras are generally less light sensitive, but they provide the visual information required in many industrial applications.

PoE

Power over Ethernet (PoE) for GigE combines power and data communication over a standard Ethernet cable, helping to reduce cabling and simplify installation. The VE2S series supports PoE as well as external power via the I/O connector, offering flexibility during integration.

MTBF, warranty & product life cycle

Each year, Daheng Imaging produces more than 100.000 industrial cameras according to the highest quality standards. The mean time between failure (MTBF) is more than 400.000 hours (45 years, 24/7). The industrial cameras are certified by TÜV Rheinland and have a 3-year warranty. After market introduction, every camera model is available for at least 7 years.
